ABOUT THE WINNER

This dramatic take on real-life issues of high school, Degrassi: The Next Generation (TNG) is the sequel to the popular Degrassi series of the 1980's.

The series can be seen on CTV and has a loyal fan base of teens (12-17). This year marks the fifth season for Degrassi: TNG and the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Degrassi franchise.

The series can be seen in more than 25 countries worldwide and has been recognized recently with three Gemini Awards, two Directors Guild Awards and a Canadian Screenwriting Award in addition to the Shaw Rocket Prize.
