Geoffrey Goodwin Appointed in September 2007 he is responsible for delivering a portfolio of high-quality multi-platform content to younger British teenagers, aged 12 to 17. BBC Switch has slots on BBC Two, BBC Radio 1 and includes impact events and concerts. This traditional broadcast output is underpinned by a digital team who build dynamic teen content in digital spaces, including the web and mobile. BBC Switch also has a keen focus on delivering "new narrative formats" - broadband content that mixes high quality A/V storytelling with interactive, casual gaming. Geoffrey has 14 years of media and entertainment experience, ranging from television, motion picture and web production through to communications, project management and strategy. In September 2002, Geoffrey was appointed BBC Head of Strategy for Drama, Entertainment and CBBC (DEC) working to Alan Yentob. Key projects included: creating and maintaining strategic projects and policy across DEC programme-making departments; writing the BBC's Film Policy and Strategic Lead for the BBC's Creative Future Project: Kids and Teens workstream. Geoffrey gained an MBA from the University of Edinburgh in 2000. Prior to this, Geoffrey worked for Alliance Atlantis Communications, Paragon Entertainment and in various TV and motion picture production roles in his native Canada. His Executive Producer credits include, on television: Sound; Class of 2008; Them?; Meta4orce; Mission Beach; Revealed; Scene Stealers; and on radio/online: The 5.19 Show; Switch with Nick Grimshaw; and The Surgery with Kelly Osbourne. |
