Adina Pitt Adina Pitt is Vice President of Content Acquisitions and Co-Productions for the Cartoon Network and Boomerang. In her role, Pitt works directly with head of Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Adult Swim programming to develop acquisition strategies that support current and long-term programming plans. She negotiates and acquires series', films and interstitial programming for the brands; solicits, screens and evaluates acquisitions submissions; solidifies new content partnerships; maintains relationships with international and domestic programming distributors; and represents the networks at major programming markets including: MIPTV, MIPCOM, Kidscreen Conference, and NATPE. She works closely with the development teams of each brand as well in order to maximize the pre-buy and co-production opportunities in the marketplace. In addition, she anticipates future trends in the marketplace and analyzes opportunities for the networks. She is the liaison between all international Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels to maintain global acquisitions' point of view in the marketplace. She also coordinates global deals with the international channels. She oversees the maintenance of charts tracking channel inventory, cable and network television series and movie deals, competitive pricing, theatrical and made-for-TV movie availability, competitive broadcast and cable inventories, both domestically and globally. Pitt joined the Cartoon Network in January 2008. Prior to that, she had been at Nickelodeon since 1998 where she was the Vice President of Acquisitions for Nickelodeon and MTV Networks Kids and Family Group (Noggin, The N, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr, Nickelodeon). Over the course of her 10 years at Nickelodeon, she has worked on Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, TV Land, Nicktoons Network, Noggin, The N, Nick Jr., TNN, and Spike TV. She previously worked in film programming acquisitions at HBO. Pitt was born and raised in Puerto Rico, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from Brandeis University and a master's degree in educational communication and technology from New York University. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children. |
