THIS SHOW HAS WINGS

The kids have spoken - the magic, wit and creativity in Wingin' It have made the show a winner! The prestigious $50,000 Shaw Rocket Prize has been awarded to Wingin' It for being voted the best in Canadian kids' programming.

Wingin' It is a comedic tween TV show highlighting the misadventures of a teenage odd couple - Carl Montclaire (Dylan Everett, How to be Indie) a typical teenager trying to survive high school, and ‘Angel-in-Training' (A.I.T.) Porter Jackson (Demetrius Joyette, The Latest Buzz) who is trying to earn his angel wings by making Carl the most popular guy in school.

Wingin' It was selected as one of the top five finalists by our International Jury of esteemed industry professionals, after being judged for quality and content of its online presence and the show itself. The Kids Jury was just as impressed, and selected it as the grand prize winner after watching episodes of the show and interacting with it through the website and game.

POPULARITY RULES AMONG THE JURORS

"It shows you about friendship, there was lots of imagination, there was lots of fun, lots of action, and I liked the song at the end."

~ Shanice, 6, Winnipeg

"I like Wingin' It because it shows me that you do not have to be cool to make friends. Just be who you really are!"

~ Mathea, 8, Schomberg

"Well, first of all I love the idea of magic! For me, it's always cool to see how much the writers think outside of the box. I can't imagine how they would actually think of these ideas! When I grow up, I want to be a writer for Wingin' It, & I've wanted that to happen since the first episode launched. This is why I like... I mean LOVE, Wingin' It!"

~ Emily, 10, Edmonton

"I like it because it is very intriguing, and I find it hilarious. I am a big fan of Dylan Everett, the boy who plays Carl in Wingin' It. In every season of this show, they always bring something new, fresh, funny and unique from all other shows. Big thumbs up to this amazing show!"

~ Jonathan, 11, Calgary

"Wingin' It takes the recognisable setting of High School, mixes it with the everyday challenges of young people coming to terms with growing up, and twists it with a little bit of magic to create stories which are engaging and above all great fun!"

~ Michael Carrington, CCO, EMEA, Turner Broadcasting
