As a way of continuing Shaw Communications and the Shaw Rocket Fund’s commitment to quality children’s television production in Canada, we created the Shaw Rocket Prize. Now in its fifth year, it is designed to fuel our industry by supporting and celebrating the best of Canadian television programming for kids.

The Shaw Rocket Prize is a single, winner-take-all $50,000 prize to be awarded for the best independent Canadian children’s television program. It represents one of the largest prizes of its kind in Canada.

The Rocket signifies the pinnacle of children's television production, helping to inspire creativity, generate excitement and maximize publicity for prize winners, finalists and Canadian children's television in general.
