MAKE SOME NOISE

2007 ROCKET PRIZE WINNER

2007 Winner - Make Some Noise

Make Some Noise, the 2007 winner of the Shaw Rocket Prize, continues to air on CBC, inspiring kids in Canada and around the world to do what they need to do to really "change the world" we live in. As series producer, Heather Hawthorn-Doyle notes, "the young people we profiled are already doing an amazing job at [changing the world]. The extra exposure that they got on Make Some Noise really helped their causes."

Sharing the Shaw Rocket Fund's belief that "quality television for children can help make quality adults," the truly life-changing Make Some Noise has won many awards including The Gemini Award and the NHK Japan Prize. However, as Hawthorn-Doyle points out,

"it was the Shaw Rocket Prize to this day that resonates the most, because it was voted on by hundreds of schoolchildren from across the country. These kids, our audience, looked at some exceptional programs that year, and they picked ours. We remain grateful."

Make Some Noise gives youth a voice they might not otherwise have. "We want to hear inspiring stories of people making a difference. People standing up for what they believe in. People following their passion."

Say what you think, kids - Make Some Noise is here to listen and let everyone out there know what you think needs changing!
